Our schools
Pine Street School, located at 25 Pine Street in the Financial District, is a fully accredited International Baccalaureate World School offering the Primary Years Program from Nursery Ones through 8th Grade with Spanish and Mandarin language tracks. Using highly respected international curriculums and the latest educational research, Pine Street School delivers a rigorous, inquiry-based approach to learning, which prioritizes student agency, technological fluency, and a developed global perspective.
Battery Park Montessori, located at 21 South End Avenue in Battery Park City, is New York’s only trilingual Montessori school, offering Spanish and Mandarin language exposure. Our Montessori-trained teachers nurture each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, academic, and physical needs, fostering their independence, natural curiosity, and problem-solving abilities. Partnered with Learning Beautiful’s hands-on, tactile, and age-appropriate materials, students are introduced to STEM and coding without ever touching a computer.
Green Ivy Silicon Valley, located at 540 Sands Drive, San Jose, CA, is now accepting admissions for the 2024-2025 school year. Green Ivy’s expansion into the San Francisco Bay Area provides an amazing opportunity for educators to support the growth and development of our West Coast location. Green Ivy Silicon Valley will provide the same innovative, engaging, multilingual, and multicultural education as its sister schools in New York and will provide both Spanish and Mandarin language tracks to students from Kindergarten through 8th Grade. The school is growing with plans to add one grade each year.
Inclusion, belonging, and team culture
We are enriched by the unique cultures and perspectives of our internationally-diverse, community of teachers, administrators and staff. We work to create a globally-aware community through research, professional development, and conversations with each other about our cultures and languages to offset implicit biases. We seek to create an environment in which each member of our community is welcome as their true self.
Our teachers also receive professional development on literature selections, implicit bias, creating gender safe classrooms, and the importance of this work. We also use "I-DEA" or "Identity, Diversity, Equity and Anti-Racism" topics to guide our curriculum and practices with children and adults.
Professional development for teachers
We hire teachers with a passion for learning who seek to continuously advance their teaching knowledge and skills. We provide our teachers with a vast array of professional development opportunities including training in the IB PYP model, or other curricular training as appropriate. In addition, teachers receive mentorship and coaching from a variety of school leaders as well as access to learning sessions that encourage growth and reflection. Teachers benefit from our network of international schools which also makes it possible to share innovative and proven teaching strategies across multiple learning communities.
