On-Site After School Programs
Clubhouse for Enrolled Students
For parents needing additional afternoon care, Battery Park Montessori offers enriching after school options for enrolled children. From 3:00 to 6:00 pm, our little ones joyfully embrace an afternoon filled with learning and laughter in our extended day program.
In addition, a full array of enrichment classes for enrolled children, three years and up, are offered from 3:00 - 4:00pm. All classes are designed equally for students continuing from one Trimester to the next or for those signing up for the first time. Families with students currently enrolled at Battery Park Montessori may easily register their children for after school and enrichment programs here.
Ballet (Mondays)
The next star of Swan Lake will be made at 21 South End Avenue! This mixed-experience class will further your child’s mastery of the most elegant of dances and teach important coordination skills.
Chess (Tuesdays)
The first step to becoming a Grandmaster is making the first move. Whether your child is already an experienced player, or brand new to the game, this class is a perfect place to further their skills or learn the basics of one of the world’s oldest games.
Puppet Show (Wednesdays)
Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Battery Park Montessori? In this class (taught by CinemaKidz, one of Green Ivy’s longest partners in enrichment) your little one will make puppets and learn how to make them perform, all building up to recording their own puppet show movie!
Piano (Thursdays)
Courtesy of the Village Music School, learn the basics of piano and reading music from classically-trained, professional musicians. This class goes beyond just “Hot Cross Buns,” using small class sizes to really teach your child about the magic of music.
Gymnastics (Fridays)
Bend! Spin! Jump! Take your first step toward the parallel bars in this fun and dynamic class from Togetherhood. This class focuses on various skills such as walkovers, handstands and cartwheels, eventually moving to more advanced moves like handsprings and tucks!
