Applications for the 2023-2024 school year are open for Nursery-6th Grade!

Our admissions process has moved from Ravenna to Veracross. You must login to our new admissions portal to tour or apply. You will receive credentials to do so when you complete the inquiry form. If you are already an enrolled family, please use your current login information from your Veracross parent portal to access our admissions portal, where you can add a new application for siblings and view next steps for applying.

Applications for the 2022-2023 school year are available for limited spaces in Nursery/2s through 6th Grade. Contact admissions@greenivy.com to learn more.

**Notes:

  • Children entering our Nursery Ones program must be 1 year and 1 day old to before beginning their phase-in.
  • Children entering our Nursery Twos program must turn two before December 31st.

2023-2024 Admissions Checklists

  1. Create a profile in Veracross. Get started by submitted an inquiry form here to receive login credentials and access to the admissions portal.
  2. Schedule and attend a school tour.
  3. Submit the $100 application fee (non-refundable) and complete the parent questionnaire.
  4. Schedule and attend an onsite class visit.
  5. Ask your child's current school to complete and submit the Teacher Recommendation Form through Veracross.
  6. Submit a copy of your child's most recent school report, progress report, or transcript (final 2021-2022 and most recent).
  7. Schedule and complete student's admission MAP assessment. Contact Admissions or ISEE to schedule.
  8. Schedule and attend an onsite Admissions Parent Meeting (will be available to schedule in Veracross once all previous steps are complete).

Pine Street School's international curriculum is a great fit for many families relocating to NYC from around the world, taking on new posts at the United Nations or at one of the many global companies located in NYC.

International students should submit an application according to their grade and subsequent steps will be modified for individual circumstances. For example, we often arrange Parent Interviews with the Head of School via video conference.

Rolling Admissions

For the 2023-2024 School Year:

From March 2023-August 2023, Green Ivy International Schools operates on a rolling admissions basis, across all grade levels.

Families can anticipate learning of their admissions decision by the third Thursday of each month. Once the admissions application and supplementary materials have been received and all admissions steps completed, families can expect a decision notification promptly.

  • All admissions steps completed by Monday, 4/17/2022 will receive their admissions decision by Thursday, 04/20/2022
  • All admissions steps completed by Monday,05/15/2022 will receive their admissions decision by Thursday, 05/18/2022
  • All admissions steps completed by Monday, 06/12/2023 will receive their admissions decision by Thursday, 06/15/2023
  • All admissions steps completed by Monday, 07/17/2023 will receive their admissions decision by Thursday, 07/20/2023
  • All admissions steps completed by Monday, 08/14/2023 will receive their admissions decision by Thursday, 08/17/2023

When accepted, a family is offered an enrollment agreement and has two weeks to review, ask questions, and to sign the document in order to enroll their child. Limited extensions to the review period may be requested with good reason.

Green Ivy International Schools will begin to accept Nursery 1s to 7th Grade Applications for the 2024-2025 School Year within Veracross Starting September 2023.

Pine Street School has a sister school – Battery Park Montessori – just a short walk from us, immersed in nature with a breathtaking view of the beautiful Hudson River in Battery Park City. While each school offers unique programming, they are joined pedagogically by our belief that students learn best when empowered to be independent and active participants in their own learning. Visit the website for our sister school to better understand the options you have and view a comparison of our two programs.

We invite you to consider both of our schools if your child is entering an early childhood program. The application requirements are unique to each school, so please take time to review those requirements carefully.

You must apply to each school separately. Once requirements are completed for a school, you will receive an admissions decision for that school according to the schedule. If your child is admitted, you will have two weeks (14 calendar days) to accept the invitation to enroll in that school. If we do not receive your acceptance in that timeframe, we will offer that spot to another family. If you receive admission to one of our schools but wish to wait for the decision from the sister school, you may do so, but please bear in mind the two-week decision timeframe does not change. If you do have a preference of one sister school over the other, kindly let us know before both applications are considered.

COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

All students attending Green Ivy International Schools are required to have up-to-date immunizations as outlined by the New York State Department of Health/ Department of Education. We require the NY CH 205 form with vaccination details upon enrollment. If students are not compliant with the New York State immunization requirements, they will be excluded from school until they receive the vaccines. For the Covid-19 vaccination and boosters, at this time, we do not require children under 5 years old to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. This policy can change should another spike or outbreak occur. All students older than five must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Once an enrolled student turns five years of age and/or upon entering Kindergarten, up to date Covid-19 vaccinations are required.
