We typically confirm staff in May. Historically, the staff include current (and former) teachers and Afterschool counselors, returning camp staff from prior years, and one or two new staff members from any of our Green Ivy Schools. We select camp staff with the same emphasis on nurturing and health and safety that we use when hiring classroom teachers. We also hire Spanish speaking counselors as our program is bilingual.

No, our camp is designed for campers of all levels of experience. Counselors and instructors will meet your child where they are, supplementing Spanish with English whenever necessary. Campers fluent in Spanish and those just starting on their language-learning journey may be grouped together, as this can help everyone's skills grow.
We discourage this, as it is quite disruptive to the camp experience, both for your child and for other children
